National Fitness Day 2020
What is National Fitness Day?
National Fitness Day is an annual celebration of fitness, raising awareness of the importance of leading an active lifestyle.
We’re celebrating National Fitness Day with a whole host of free taster sessions for everyone to experience the fun of staying active, no matter how fit you are.
With this year’s pandemic, the importance of keeping active has been even more prominent in the news, so National Fitness Day is the chance for you to try out different activities and find an exercise that you enjoy.
National Fitness Day also celebrates what fitness means to people, breaking down the barriers that stop people being active through the hashtag #Fitness2Me across social media.
When is National Fitness Day 2020?
National Fitness Day 2020 takes place on Wednesday 23rd September 2020, however we have free sessions throughout the week for you to enjoy as part of the Great British Week of Sport.
How can you get involved?
We know exercising isn’t for everyone and even stepping foot into a leisure centre can be challenging for many, which is why we’re offering free taster sessions throughout the week to give you the opportunity and flexibility to try something that suits you.
Whether you need the motivation of working out with others or are looking for a new workout plan, we have something for everyone to give you a taste of what we offer.
What’s more, we are proud that over 95% of our members said they have felt safe visiting us with the Covid-secure changes we’ve made to the centre (survey, July 2020), so we welcome you to come on down for one of our free National Fitness Day taster sessions and see for yourself the changes we’ve made.
Please note, all sessions must be booked in advance to ensure we can maintain social distancing within the centre.
