One small step at Bisham Abbey this National Fitness Day!

Staff and members at Bisham Abbey are gearing up for a week-long festival of fitness culminating in National Fitness Day on 26th September.

The team are looking to raise awareness about the health and well-being benefits, that just one day of fitness, would bring to an individual. According to UK Active, just 30 minutes of exercise twice a week, supports a healthier body, mind and spirit.

We're running 11 free fitness sessions at Bisham Abbey to celebrate the festival. It’s FUN and it’s FREE – what’s to stop you? Simply register with the Front of House team on 01628 476911.

  • Extend the Squash Club 4:00pm-7.30pm
  • ‘Free Friend Friday’ – free gym trial when accompanied by an existing member 

Whether you fancy toning up, becoming more active, or just trying something new, the National Fitness Day ‘Power Half Hour’ is a great place to start. Venues across the country are hosting ‘Power Half Hour’ events on National Fitness Day – and you don’t even have to be a member to take part.

National Fitness Day is the largest celebration of physical activity in the UK. Hundreds of clubs, parks and leisure centres are opening their doors to welcome you for free. We all know the great things linked to regular exercise including a healthier heart and a better quality of life. But many of us find getting fit a lonely slog and it shouldn’t be.

Research shows if you exercise in company you are more likely to stick at it. A combination of social atmosphere and camaraderie, creates a positive atmosphere and importantly helps us to have fun.

That’s what National Fitness Day is all about – providing the inspiration and opportunities to move!
