Situated just one mile outside of Marlow, Buckinghamshire, on the banks of the River Thames, this twelfth century Abbey was once home to Henry VIII.  Combining traditional character and charisma with a versatile choice of function  rooms, we present the ideal setting for your festive celebrations together with a warm  and friendly atmosphere complimented by fine cuisine.

If you would like to hold a private Christmas event, we can offer a variety of rooms to meet your needs:

The Great Hall Perfect for parties of up to 120 people, this beautiful room has a 100ft high  vaulted ceiling and minstrel’s gallery.The fireplace is over 400 years old and is a real centre piece for this magnificent room.The large window at the east end of the hall was originally painted inTudor times and has been recently restored. The Warwick Room Ideal for smaller parties of 64 or less, this dark oak panelled room with beautiful  stone fireplace and large bay windows overlooks the Abbey lawns. The Margaret Dickinson Bar & Lounge Overlooking the River Thames, the bar area will be open throughout your function and will close at 12pm. The Sonning Room The room adjoins the Margaret Dickinson Bar & Lounge.The double doors from the bar open into the room, which offers plenty of room for your guests to mingle whilst staying close to the bar! The room can easily be set up as a casino and party games area.

Accommodation

We also offer single and twin bedrooms, all with their own complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and colour TVs. Book a room on the night of your party and you will receive a special party night rate of £44.75 for a single room and £62.50 for a twin. Prices include full English breakfast.  All rooms subject to availability.

*TERMS & CONDITIONS

A £10.00 deposit per person must be paid within10 working days of making the booking otherwise the booking will automatically be released. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of a cancellation or reduction in numbers, refunds will not be given. Increase in numbers is subject to availability. Vegetarian meals and any special dietary requirements must be booked in advance. All prices in the brochure include VAT. There may be a room hire charge for private Christmas Parties if one is booked for less than 50 people. Our license, unless an extension is applied for, is until midnight.
